Sunday School (Sun. 11:30 to 12:30)
This is open to all children (between 7 & 13 years), where they worship and are taught through songs, games and the scriptures about Christianity and the beliefs of The Salvation Army.
For the younger children (3 to 7 years) there is the Primary Class
It is not necessary to be a member of The Salvation Army or wear a uniform to join our Sunday School. We have a mini bus that makes regular runs on a Sunday, to bring children into our Sunday School.

Junior Soldier Class (Sun. 10:30 - 11:30)
This is under the leadership of our Junior Soldiers Sergeant Doris Melvin.
This class is for Junior Soldiers or children who are preparing to become Junior Soldiers (children who have become full members of The Salvation Army).

13plus / Recruits Class (Sun. 11:30 - 12:30)
This is where Junior Soldiers prepare themselves for Senior Soldership.

Musical Sections
The 'Singing Company' is the name of our Children's Choir, which is open to Junior Soldiers between 7 & 18 years. The choir practice every Monday evening and perform every Sunday during the morning worship meeting. Plus occasional special meetings. They also sing at the municipal carol concert in the Town Hall every year.
The 'YP Band' which is the name of our Children's Brass Band, is open to 'Junior Soldiers' over the age of 7 years. The Band practice every Friday evening. They have a learners group where the children are taught how to play a brass musical instrument and to read music. The band members play with the adult brass band during every Sunday morning worship. Also they perform in their own right in special meetings.

Junior Soldiers Promise
Having asked God for forgiveness,
I will be his loving and obedient child.
Because Jesus is my Saviour from sin,
I will trust him to keep me good, and will try to help others to follow him.
I promise to pray, to read my Bible and, by his help lead a life that is clean in thought word and deed.
I will not smoke, take harmful drugs or drink alcoholic drinks.
