Our Young Peoples Corps also known as the 'Pathfinders',
comprises of various sections/groups. All under the leadership of
acting YPSM Sue Grundy.

| Sunday School (Sun. 11:30 to
12:30) |
This is open to all children (between 7 & 13
years), where they worship and are taught through songs, games and the
scriptures about Christianity and the beliefs of The Salvation Army.
For the younger children (3 to 7 years) there is the Primary ClassIt
is not necessary to be a member of The Salvation Army or wear a
uniform to join our Sunday School. We have a mini bus that makes regular
runs on a Sunday, to bring children into our Sunday School. |

| Junior Soldier Class (Sun.
10:30 - 11:30) |
This is under the leadership of our Junior Soldiers
Sergeant Doris Melvin.
This class is for Junior Soldiers or children who are preparing to
become Junior Soldiers (children who have become full members of The
Salvation Army).

| 13plus / Recruits Class
(Sun. 11:30 - 12:30) |
| This is where Junior Soldiers prepare
themselves for Senior Soldership. |
| Musical Sections |
The 'Singing Company' is the
name of our Children's Choir, which is open to Junior Soldiers between 7
& 18 years. The choir practice every Monday evening and perform every
Sunday during the morning worship meeting. Plus occasional special
meetings. They also sing at the municipal carol concert in the Town Hall
every year.
The 'YP Band' which is the name of our Children's Brass
Band, is open to 'Junior Soldiers' over the age of 7 years. The Band
practice every Friday evening. They have a learners group where the
children are taught how to play a brass musical instrument and to read
music. The band members play with the adult brass band during every
Sunday morning worship. Also they perform in their own right in special
meetings.

| The 'Junior Timbrel Group' is open to all children
(Uniformed and non Uniformed). The children start in the learners group
and practice regularly on Friday evenings, where they are taught how to
play a tambourine. The Timbrel group perform occasionally in worship and
special meetings.y |
