A Thought for April

Isn't it so often the unexpected things in life which give the greatest pleasure? Just think of those little surprises, such as small gifts or perhaps a few kind words.

We look forward to something for a long time, maybe a special occasion, only to be disappointed with the way things turn out. Yet an unexpected visit or phone call can bring back the sunshine into our lives.

If something cheerful and uplifting has happened to you or those closest to you, cherish it in your heart. You could then perhaps spare a thought for someone who would love to have a little surprise. You might put the sunshine back in their lives, too.

During the Sunday evening meetings at approximately 6:30pm we have a period of intercession, when we remember and pray for members of our corps, who are ill and unable to attend the meetings. We hold the intercessions at the same time each Sunday, so that the people who we are praying for can join us in pray.
