What's Christmas
all about?
Another Christmas comes around, and your age determines how many
you have seen! Goods in the shops, and shopping to be done, to
try and buy everything for everyone we know - those near and
far. What shall we buy brothers and sisters alike? Will the
money stretch that far again, for all they want on Christmas
Morning?
In the home there is much preparation to do. Christmas
cakes/puddings to make, Christmas trees to put up and those
lights! They WILL work!! Decorations in abundance and don't
forget the mince pies and cakes to bake - and then we can sit
and was for the good folk to come.
Remember the lonely folk who will not expect or receive the
family and friends as they once did - "O the price of getting
older"! Right around the world much celebrating and festivities
are abounding, and much joy and happiness seen. But what is
Christmas really all about?
Jesus coming as a Baby in a manger because there was no room for
him in an inn.
Read these verses
again and again this December, remember the real reason for
Christmas, and then have a good time:
"He came to bring us
hope and love, To tell us of a heavenly home above, Where we can
dwell in time eternally, If our sins we will be free. There
comes to us at Christmas time, As music and church bens chime, A
sense of peace, that an will be well" |
|
GOD BLESS YOU
as Christmas approaches for another year, as you really know the
reason why! |

During the
Sunday evening meetings at approximately 6:30pm we have
a period of intercession, when we remember and pray for
members of our corps, who are ill and unable to attend
the meetings. We hold the intercessions at the same time
each Sunday, so that the people who we are praying for
can join us in pray.
